@Lisa Absolutely. You have to give it all you've got, right?

@uppington I'm glad to help. Like I said to Lisa, you have to give it all you've got.

@Rochita You're welcome. Thanks for stopping in! :)

@Janice I think you're right. This is your first comment here. Thanks for the kind words and the nice image.

@Terry If you keep growing you keep living, at least that's what I think. I never want to be in a place where I'm not moving forward. Well, maybe there was this one time I was sitting in a cafe overlooking a beautiful valley. I wouldn't mind sitting there for awhile. ;)

@Tom Charge on, Tom! Charge on!

@Kara Glad I could give you a laugh! So much of the writing world is the serious gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands. I like to look at things differently. Helps keep things light and airy. :)

*I put up a post proclaiming to the world that I was using a once in a lifetime opportunity to dedicate my life to writing. Right after that, I promptly stopped writing.**

LOL for a week! I have so done this! It's horrifying the number of decades get lost this way :)

I do best when I show up at the computer and then get out of my own way :). It's taken a long time to accept that, I must say :) Lovely blog, it's nice to meet you!

Ah, change and acceptance! Two of my favorite things! Wait, no, they're not. I do the best with them that I can, but I'm not always good with them, and I'm not always happy to be confronted with them, even when I know for a fact that they are leading to good stuff. I have to continually work on them to improve, but I am happy to see some improvement. It's nice to see this post as I've been pondering what changes are in store for me in the future.

I like how you said, "My best work is growth." That's so true! If we're learning and growing, not much else matters because at some point that "best work" will help us produce our "best writing."

Janice, what a beautiful way of expressing the nature of change. My mental task for the day is to suck it up, accept the changes that have been thrust upon me, and keep on writing to the other side.

Jamie,
I am not sure I have commented here before, but I certainly pop by. So funny the timing of this post. I wonder if spring has us all shifting a bit. Change. If we summon that up, right along with it comes a whole body of process. A wise man once advised me to get comfortable with discomfort, that it is the very nature of transition... and go with it. The other side is a lovely destination, a more expansive you.
Lovely post.

I think change is necessary to grow, and it can be exciting, but it can also be fearful.

Facing fear and going for it is what life's all about.
